REVIEW SUMMARY
This is a novel about a rougeNote 1 individual becoming President of the United States and quickly turning society (as well as the government) completely upside down.
The story opens with Inauguration Day and continues through the first month in office. There are frequent flashbacks to key events along the path leading to this presidency, including previous government roles, the presidential campaign, as well as intimate personals activities.
It is a story of lies, deceit, and illogical assertions. The book describes lots of behind the scenes maneuvering, personal conflicts, and skirmishes. Much of it is fully predictable, but it includes some very surprising twists.
Like the main character, the book is funny but frightening; the humor is haunting. The story is scandalous and teasing; It is sad in a terrorizing way. When something appears uplifting, it quickly becomes unnerving. You end up wanting it to be unbelievable, but then you know better.
This book is a "must read" for every serious Political Engineering student.
