The Far Right is Left
COMMENTARY
Unless you are a flatlander throwback, you know the "world is round" (a three-dimensional sphere, to be fully correct).

In fact, whether you are talking about the planet Earth or about the entire Universe, virtually everyone understands that the world is round -- not flat nor square.

And because it is round:
  • If you go far enough to the West, you will end up in the East.
  • If you go far enough to the East, you will end up in the West.
  • If you go far enough to the South, you will eventually end up going North.
  • If you go far enough to the North, you will eventually end up going South.
Traveling West:
1. New York City is 73o 58' West Longitude
2. Pittsburgh is 79o 57' West Longitude
3. Chicago is 83o 37' West Longitude
4. Omaha is 95o 56' West Longitude
5. Denver is 105o 0' West Longitude
6. San Francisco is 122o 26' West Longitude
7. Honolulu is 157o 50' West Longitude
8. Guam is 144o 46' East Longitude
9. Tokyo is 139o 46' East Longitude

The State of Alaska (e.g., the Aleutian Island Chain) extends far enough West to become East (longitude).
Maybe that is why the one-time, half-time, cheerleader of Alaska (Sarah Palin) gets so confused and mixed up.  Maybe that is why some of her extremist ideology crosses over to the other side is some places.
  • If you go far enough to the Left, you will end up in the Right.
  • If you go far enough to the Right, you will end up in the Left.

Many, if not most, conservative factions of the Republican party have been moving increasingly to the right.  Some have moved so far that they are now becoming left.

Case in Point
The Tea Party and Sarah Palin backed Republican candidate for U.S. Senate (from the state of Washington), Clint Didier said, "We've got to get rid of this 'protecting the weak.'  If we keep the weak alive all the time it eats up the strong, and then our economy will never come back."[Ref.1]

However, that is the ideology of the Communists, as a reader of The Seattle Times points out.  Last century, the leaders of the Communist Revolution "allowed millions of [poor and weak] rural and urban families to die of starvation for the good of the Party."[Ref.2]

If you can see Russia from your home in Alaska, you might be "over the line."
