As young Objectivists, we trace our roots to the philosophy of Ayn Rand.
We support:
- The objectivism philosophy of Ayn Rand.
- Reason and freedom
- Anti-socialism
- Pure laissez-faire capitalism
- Supply-side driven economics
- Full respect for individual rights
- Voluntary cooperation
- Minimum government
- Abortion as the woman's right-to-choose [and the man's right to have to do nothing]
We believe:
- Pure laissez-faire capitalism is the only moral social system.
- The virtue of selfishness.
- Each individual has an inalienable moral right to who gets to keep the product of his effort.
- The right to life - followed by liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness.
- The proper functions of a government are
- Police "to protect men from criminals"
- Armed services "to protect men from foreign invaders"
- Law courts "to settle disputes among men according to objectively defined laws."
- "Government has a monopoly on the use of physical force in a given geographical area."
- The government should use force only to protect individual rights.
- Initiation of physical force against the will of another is immoral.
- Threats, fraud, or breach of contract are also immoral.
- The use of defensive or retaliatory force, on the other hand, is appropriate.
We oppose:
- Alternative notions of rights, such as positive rights or
- Rights belonging to anything other than an individual human being, such as collective rights or animal rights.
(Except corporate rights)
We propose:
- Eliminating all regulations and taxes on business.
- Elimination of government involved social programs.
We consider our modern day champions to beNote 1:
