Why do we have to have any regulations at all?
- They get in our way.
- They cost us money.
- They require more government to create, maintain, monitor, and enforce.
It has been repeatedly demonstrated that not everyone (especially an impersonal entity) is inclined to always do the right thing. |
The bigger the enterprise, the more complex its structure gets.
The more complex the structure, the greater the risks.
The greater the risks, the more dangerous things get.
The more dangerous things get, the more errors are made.
The more errors that are made, the greater the cover-up.
And somewhere along the way
vision, honesty, and usefulness |
tend to get overtaken by
temptation, greed, and corruption. |
