The Endowments
  • Growth requires nourishment.

  • A variety of nutrients are need -- and the amount needed increases with time.

  • At critical milestones, our needs may change a bit, but the general need for continued nourishment remains.

An endowment is
- an investment
- in the present
- for the future
  1. At first, we had very limited funding (i.e., none) for study, data observations, and information analysis.

  2. Near the end of the 20th century, some funding arrived for internet access and a web site, with which information could be better collected and shared.

  3. This seed grant was a kick-start for a more organized place of study, information exchange, and cultural growth.

  4. We moved into larger temporary quarters in early 2004.

  5. An anonymous donor funded a special department(Although a bit outside our mainline vision, it has provided research that is invaluable across many areas.)

  6. Additional funding enabled construction to begin on a new campus of our own.  We broke ground in the Spring of 2005.

  7. Beginning in 2006, increased effort was devoted to research.

  8. A generous alumni contribution launched the AFER Project in 2010.

  9. By 2012, major collections had been assembled by students of political studies.

  10. Alumni or not, we welcome your support for our continued pursuit of the vision.
