- Growth requires nourishment.
- A variety of nutrients are need -- and the amount needed increases with time.
- At critical milestones, our needs may change a bit, but the general need for continued nourishment remains.
An endowment is
- an investment
- in the present
- for the future

- At first, we had very limited funding (i.e., none) for study, data observations, and information analysis.
- Near the end of the 20th century, some funding arrived for internet access and a web site, with which information could be better collected and shared.
- This seed grant was a kick-start for a more organized place of study, information exchange, and cultural growth.
- We moved into larger temporary quarters in early 2004.
- An anonymous donor funded a special department. (Although a bit outside our mainline vision, it has provided research that is invaluable across many areas.)
- Additional funding enabled construction to begin on a new campus of our own. We broke ground in the Spring of 2005.
- Beginning in 2006, increased effort was devoted to research.
- A generous alumni contribution launched the AFER Project in 2010.
- By 2012, major collections had been assembled by students of political studies.
- Alumni or not, we welcome your support for our continued pursuit of the vision.
